The Fatal Equilibrium" is set in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in the midst of a soon-to-be murderous Harvard promotion committee. When a key candidate is killed under the guise of suicide, the eyebrows of Henry Spearman, an important Harvard economist, are raised. He is suspicious about the mysterious death of the assistant professor of economics. When two colleagues on the Promotion and Tenure Committee are also brutally killed, Henry must rack his brain to deduce the identity of the killer. Throughout this book, Henry Spearman
explains models of human behavior based on basic economic concepts.
For example, he determines the identity of the killer by utilizing an
economic model. This is a gripping mystery which is great to read if
you are unfamiliar with economics. Personally, I learned a lot from
this book without realizing it. I definitely recommend that you give
this book a try! Kelly L. Bryan |
